Powdered activated carbon (PAC) is the milled form of granular carbon — but it behaves very differently. Below 150 microns, the contact surface per unit mass multiplies: dosed into liquid, it captures contaminants within minutes and is then removed by filtration.
Thanks to the hard, dense structure of the hazelnut shell, our powder combines high adsorption capacity with a low ash content. Every batch is tested to ASTM standards.

What is powdered activated carbon?
Powdered activated carbon (PAC) is activated carbon ground below 150 microns. Its small particle size provides a large contact area for fast adsorption after direct dosing into a process.
What is the difference between powdered and granular activated carbon?
Granular activated carbon is used continuously in fixed-bed filters. Powdered activated carbon is dosed directly into a process, acts quickly and is then removed by filtration.

It is used in water and gas treatment, food and oil processes, cosmetic-ingredient purification, cat-litter formulations and sugar refining.
