Role Of Activated Carbon

Control Odor And Contaminants In The Gas Phase.

The high internal surface area of activated carbon captures volatile organic compounds and odor-forming molecules from gas streams. It can be used close to the source in process lines or as a final air-treatment stage.

Carbon-bed life is affected by inlet concentration, relative humidity, temperature, contact time and competing compounds. Bed sizing should therefore reflect actual operating conditions.
